Our Mission

We do more than transactionally help people buy and sell houses. Whether we are working with a 1st time home buyer or an experienced investor, we love what we do, and we love helping people. We are with our clients every step of the way and we are very accessible. We answer our phone as often as we can -- early in the morning, in the evening, and yes, especially on the weekend!! I've been a Realtor for 17 years and I could never understand how real estate companies could function not taking calls during the times most people are out looking for houses.

Our mission is simple...to get your money working for you! We really do have our clients' BEST interest in mind.

We help people buy and sell homes like we would for ourselves. We honestly care about people, and our clients always come before a sale. We know in the end we get paid too, but that's just a given, not our focus. Knowing we did all we could to help bring someone into what's BEST for them, their family, and their finances is what matters most at the end of the day for us.

We enjoy many parts of the process that others in our field may put at the bottom of their list, like paperwork, for instance. We are data people. We love data. We love facts, and we love sharing those facts with our clients. We love putting all the same information we are looking at in front of YOU so you can see what we are looking at and not just take our word for something...though after working with a client one time, we can confidently say we believe we have their trust. :-)

As we have the honor to work with lifelong clients, we continue to encourage people to think in such a way that they will have an inheritance to leave to their children’s children. We all start somewhere, and no matter how far off that seems, the sooner the better. We want to see people make the most money they can on their homes.

We hate seeing people taken advantage of...we've seen people sell way too low to an investor who knocks on their door and offers to pay cash, only to then discover they have all kinds of additional fees to pay that they weren't expecting. We've seen people give up thousands of equity in the name of convenience. Giving up thousands is never convenient in my book...and even in financial hardship situations, it is worth the extra few weeks for the much greater return. We've also heard stories from clients who bought the wrong home because someone persuaded them into the sale, and they soon after regretted their decision.

While some companies may be looking to make a sale, or buyers are caught up in the emotions of a nicely decorated home, we constantly keep at the forefront of our minds, “investment.” “Do I believe this is a good investment for my client?” “Is this what I believe is BEST for this client based on their needs and today’s market?” We know the fact is that for most people, their home purchases are the biggest financial investments they make in their lifetime, and we want to see those investments protected and flourishing. As a company, we want to help our clients maximize their financial return and to give them someone they can trust to truly keep their best interest in mind. 10 times out of 10, we will only be motivated by doing what we believe is BEST for our clients. While the real estate market is constantly changing, and we can't guarantee a specific return for our clients, we definitely do our best to point out concerns and help guide our clients through wisdom and experience.

About the Founder

Homes of Harvest, LLC was established in 2002 by Amanda Wolfe. Amanda was a young mom at the time, and she found herself intrigued by the idea of investing in real estate. The company was birthed out of a personal desire to invest in real estate as well as to educate others about investing in real estate. Amanda wanted to help people get money “working for them” and for her own family as well. Amanda understands that whether someone is purchasing a home to live in, to rent out, or as a fix and flip, every real estate purchase and every buyer is unique. Amanda has been a licensed realtor since 2003. She has never seen herself as a salesperson, and her clients can all attest to her demeanor and level of service provided to confirm she always has her client’s BEST interest in mind.

Amanda had grown up watching people work “hard” for their money and she started her own first non-babysitting job when she was 13 and went to the counselor at school to get working papers. She worked weekends at a family restaurant to help pay for her cheerleading uniform. She enjoyed working and didn’t think anything of it being that young. Her mom raised her as a single mom most of her life and gave the best she could and worked long hours trying to make ends meet. They lived with Amanda’s grandparents for some of those years in an affluent town in New Jersey. She grew up around other families who lived in big houses and drove nice cars, but she and her family rented houses or lived in one of the few apartment complexes in the area. Her grandmother to this day has lived in the same apartment complex for over 20 years. The thought of how much money has been thrown away monthly is discontenting, as well as the fact that her grandfather who served full-time in the National Guard for 43 years and retired as master sergeant left no inheritance to his family when he died of a heart attack in 2003. He thought he had life insurance, but his family learned after his death that he only had accidental death coverage, and therefore, her grandmother was left with all the medical debt.

Amanda believes there is a better pathway and quality of life available to us and that knowledge is power. She desires to help people leave an inheritance to their children’s children, or to whomever they value in this life and want to positively impact in a substantial way. Not everyone may have the desire to purchase investment properties, but even owner-occupied purchases can be the best income-producing investments when done right. There is no substitute for experience, and after nearly 20 years of real estate experience as an investor, a licensed realtor, and a homeowner, she has a wealth of information to share with people.

How the Company Was Birthed

In 2001, Amanda had two small children under the age of 5 at the time, and she wanted to be the one to raise them with her husband. She had a college degree and excellent work references, so she could have continued working for someone else and sought a better paying opportunity, but she knew the time with her children was much more valuable to her than any amount of money. She was always a self-starter and believed she could work from home rather than going to an office for 40 hours a week. The desire presented challenges of course, but she is a woman of faith and trusted in the Lord, and He always gave her creative ways to earn income while maintaining the priority to raise her kids well. She always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and one day a desire began like a fire in her to gain knowledge about investing in real estate...that day her entrepreneurial spirit met its pathway in real estate. She didn’t have any money to invest at the time, and it was actually a very challenging financial time in her family’s life, but God does what He does best and made a way where it seemed like there wasn’t one.

She had resigned her position at the church where she was working full-time in preparation for being home with her second son she would give birth to shortly. After she gave birth to her second son in January of 2001, they had to stay with him in the ICU for a week due to him having seizures. While they were in the hospital, her husband received a phone call that the company was laying off several people (it was during the time when big companies like Motorola and ON Semiconductor had to make some changes.) You might say it was quite a week, but she and her husband honestly had peace, and instead of panicking, their immediate thought when her husband was laid off was, “Well, God must have something amazing prepared for us.” Things got worse before they got better financially, but it was during that very time that the desire to learn all she could about investing in real estate began to awaken.

After things settled down a bit and she felt ready to step out, she got her feet wet as an investor and found her niche in vacation home rentals. She turned the home they were living in at the time into a fully furnished vacation rental, and around the same time purchased 2 foreclosure homes as well…she made one of them a second vacation rental home and the other she fixed up for her family to move into. She wasn’t a licensed realtor at the time, but soon after that, she decided to go to real estate school. Looking back, she realizes how little the realtors she worked with on those purchases did for her. Had she known then what she knows today, she would have known better, but as with everything in life, it was a good learning experience for her. Everything she has experienced in nearly 20 years, both good and bad, has worked together to give her a deep understanding of how she can best serve her clients and how to proactively meet their needs.
